a very old post of mine
Had written this when I was fairly new... amazing still.

Formatting is all screwed, so will post the first post. The responses are also pretty interesting, for me since now I know most of the posters a lot more.
I am fairly new here, hence bear with me if you don't fit the profile. You can trash down my theory, since I got absolutely no sample data. Just a hunch, based on what I read.
1. I think, most of the CH'ers are:
Better looking than an average Indian and/or
Smarter than an average Indians
2 Most had fairly happy childhood but may have faced some sort of abuse as a teen (more mental than physical). However, most bounced back from it pretty strongly and continued with the dreams ahead.
3 Most of us married someone:
Better looking than an average Indian and/or
Smarter than an average Indian
4 Some where along the way:
The marriage went off the track and/or
The career went off the track.
5 Most are still better off than many others but:
Most are not where we had set out to be and/or
Our friend/family went where we had set out to be.
So that brings me back to the original question:
Q) What brings most CH'ers to CH?
A) Bruised ego.
Q) What takes a CH'er out of CH?
A) Redemption.

Re: a very old post of mine
Lol! It's fun reading it. I'm nowhere in the pic, unfortunately. I think this was during the time I took a long break from sulekha. I don't remember the handle rs-k or post. I wonder what I would've said had I been there.

Nah, I'll pass it, trace . Life is good. Don't want to dig deep, introspect and get all agitated.
