Is August 15, 1947 the darkest day in Tami history in a 1000 years?

A few friends say it is May 18, 2009. No.

But for August 15, 1947, there would have been no May 18, 2009. So August 15, 1947 the darkest day in Tami history in a 1000 years.

come on , the indian army does not have much of a presence in tamil nadu . if 60 million tamils really want to separate , they can do so . overstretched as it is in kashmir ,  north east , pakistan border , china border etc , the indian army will probably be able to do nothing to stop this new rebellion . maybe there is something in the indian state that tamils don't want to rebel and create a different state . maybe they dont find the idea of a separate tamil country appealing enough to go for outright revolt .
