That's an unusual q for someone who claims to have been "observing" Hindus for a long time here and before that at the predecessor site at sulekha.

swapna, didn't you notice the words "SC/ST excuse"? She is prepared to marry any man except a dalit (scheduled caste) man or someone who belongs to some scheduled tribe.
Even relatively open minded hindus refrain from marrying SC/ST people.

hahaha@ observing hindus for a long time... sapna started 'observing' and got stuck with one group which keeps rapidly evolving that he finds it to be a formidably daunting task ; i bet he won't be able to even scratch the surface let alone come to any conclusion, even with just that one group, in this lifetime -forget the other hindus.
OTOH, douchemun has been lucky and has made it abundantly clear that all this happens only in TamilNadu, which is full of diversity with highly evolved cultural sophistication, composed of varying refinements and embellishments that are distinct to each one of their individual community, while the hindus of india are stuck, totally stunted, lagging way far behind, with their homogenous, boring and sterile culture.

Nadars are OBC Hindus. This means they enjoy the benefits of caste based reservations just as SC/STs do.

It is her choice who she wishes to marry or not marry. The role of her husband is not a government job with special consideration for SC/STs.
