i was always worried about things like them injecting antifreeze into my egg, mislabeling my egg, injecting my partner's sperm into someone else's egg, teh freezer breaking down during some kind of electricity outage from a terrorist activity, but neevr this kind of criminal activity.

What if I am over 38 years of age?

Expectations are that pregnancy rates from frozen eggs will depend on the women’s age at the time she freezes her eggs, but will not be affected by the age at which she comes back to use them. Therefore, the chance of future pregnancy in women older than 38 at the time of freezing is likely to be lower than that seen for younger women. To date, there are few reports of pregnancies in women over 38 from frozen eggs. This is mostly due to lower age cutoffs in egg freezing studies and the relatively low number of women who have come back to use their frozen eggs so far. At USC Fertility, ongoing pregnancies have been achieved in women 40 and older at the time they froze their eggs. Additionally, pregnancies are routinely achieved in women up to age 43 using fresh embryos. We may find with further egg freezing research that we are able to mimic these rates; however, we do not know if eggs from women over 40 years of age will respond in the same manner to freezing as those from women 40 years of age or less.

Think about 9 months long maternity leave in TN at the expense of Govt. That should calm you down.

it makes me sad to think that i can't even get maternity leave like all these other women. i just have to take time off on my own.

i do think it is a splendid investment on the part of the TN govt. i can foresee that these kids will taller, faster, brighter, and socially-gifted; their vocabulary will be richer and they will learn tamil very well and in general be happy and thrive. the northern indian kids? well, their moms are going to be away at work and some cow passing by will probably kick them in the teeth when they're playing on the streets. don't think they won't become bold with each passing as their popl increases. they might even learn hindi.

Think instead that the Govt. probably is doing it (giving 9 months maternity leave to women in Govt. jobs) for the sake of votes, like the caste based quotas and benefits in education and jobs etc., and not for having taller, faster and brighter kids.

my current belief.

NOT to have a baby until your mid 20s unless both the parents are mature, stable, and know exactly what they are getting into, along with the economics of it.

Have them closer to 30 up until maybe 38-39. This way, you are past your volatile age, and are probably more ready, relaxed and patient to handle a child/teen. and also more financially stable, hopefully.

NOT to have them post 40, unless both or atleast one parent is healthy and energetic and/or they will have help raising the kid. I mean, you have lived until your 40s without a responsibility. why suddenly change it now. Not sure if parenting is going to suddenly come to these individuals.
