Coming soon, he says, a degree in medicine taught and studied only in Hindi.

teaching engineering or medicine through hindi is a horrible idea. all the state of the art text books, research publications, etc. are in english and there is no systematic mechanism in place to translate all the relevant material into hindi. english should remain the medium of instruction in engineering and medicine courses, and special classes should be arranged for students who are weak in english.

There is nothing wrong in teaching eng and med in Hindi as long it is done with state funds and not Indian gov funds.

So what? Learn English also. If Chinese, Japanese, Germans can do it, why not Hindians?
