India - Pakistan - Tamils : View from facebook

Indo-Pak War. Tamils will remain neutral !
India and Pakistan have started their attacks on each other to kindle the patriotic feelings of their respective citizens. So long they used to play Cricket to induce the patriotic feelings among their people and now they have come to the level of waging a small war.
Decision to wage a war on Pakistan is a sole discretion of Delhi Govt and nothing to do with Tamils or Tamil Nadu Govt. Tamil Nadu is not connected with Pakistan either politically or geographically.
Though Tamil Nadu is a part of Indian Union, Indian Govt does not consider the welfare of Tamils and Tamil Nadu. Tamils have long pending issues with the Union Govt and have not been resolved till now. With regard to foreign policies on neighboring countries , Indian Govt never ever consults with the State Governments. In spite of Tamils protest, Indian Govt helped Sri Lankan Govt to wipe out Tamil freedom fighters in Tamil Eelam. This shows the indifferent attitude of the Indian Govt towards the aspirations of its own citizens.
Therefore, Pakistan should keep in mind that Indian States are not waging war against Pakistan and should limit their strikes to Delhi alone. It is the unitary Delhi machinery which wages the war and not entire Indian Union. We Tamils remain neutral on this issue and we do not want to take side either with New Delhi or Pakistan.

Why die for far off some northern land for Indian gov when Indian gov refuses to protect Tamil Nadu fishermen from Sri Lankan navy?
On January 22, 2011 Prime Minister assured Vaiko that India would take up the issue with Sri Lanka SERIOUSLY to ensure that such attacks were not repeated. Sri Lankan Navy is attacking Tamil Nadu fishermen for over two decades and has killed at the least 77 fishermen [Reference 1]. Why was the issue not taken up SERIOUSLY so far? Is Tamil blood cheap?

Indians all the way from Kashmir to Kanyakumari have borne the brunt of terror acts. Terrorism knows no boundaries, one should not suggest that I want no part because it didn't affect me or my state this time. This line of thinking is detrimental to the future and progress of India.

Indian gov is not consulting OUR people when it goes on with its milistaristic actions. WE suggest you settle the Kashmir issue by holding a plebiscite there and abide by it. Then WE will consider supporting you.

Any relationship will work long term only when there is a mutual benefit.
Pakistan is an artificial union and India is another artificial union. Each one shows the other as a bugbear to keep the union going through melodrama.
It won't work long term.

Where are you from?
Although DMK openly abandoned TN independence in 1963 under threat of being banned, many its leaders continue to hope for it.
The most serious effort we know came in 1975. Rajaram a minister in te Karunanidhi ministry and close confident of the Chief Minister asked the American consulate in Chennai if America would support if TN declared independence. Consular said "no". It is well documented
