"I am Sorry"
I was wondering the same when I heard it
http://www.cosmopolitan.com/politics/a8296414/hillary-clinton-sorry-concession-speech/
Hillary Clinton was the first woman to receive the nomination of a major party in a presidential election. She was also the first candidate in modern history to use the words "I'm sorry" in a concession speech.
Fortune analyzed the transcripts of every presidential concession speech since 1952, when Adlai Stevenson gave the first televised concession speech after losing to President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Fortune found that none of the candidates, all of them male, had ever apologized.
...
In a 2010 study, researchers found that women apologized more than men because men were less likely to find that they had acted in ways that warranted apology. Women set a lower bar for themselves.
Being the first woman ever to come so close to occupying the highest office in the United States may have given Clinton a greater sense of responsibility than other presidential candidates who came before her, prompting her to express her regret with an apology.

Contrast with: "I didn't even apologize to my wife..."

Hey M... How are you?
Right now, the thing that turns my stomach inside out is that Trump got elected. So you can guess other stuff might be relatively in control, not that I want to challenge the powers above *joins hands and raises them to the sky* (God I wish this site supported emojis)
Other than that, praying that some of our friends are doing good in terms of health, well being, etc. I secretly believe whenever I make a public prayer, it gets answered. So doing my bit here. *joins hands and raises them to the sky* (God I wish this site supported emojis)
Oh wait. Almost forgot. I do have a big issue going on. It is TMJ. Major crippling issue right now. I have discovered that a combo of red wine, melatonin, and aleve keeps me a little sane. And a little bit of neck-shoulder stretching exercises. I am still experimenting with pillows. Maybe soon I will write a thesis on it. Or maybe I will knock off all my teeth myself. Whichever comes first. *joins hands and raises them to the sky* (God I wish this site supported emojis)

Re: "I am Sorry"
Nice to see you Tracy:)
I am ok, thanks for asking..has been a rough year though in different ways (election included, with all the uncertainties now).
Do include me in your prayers. Will pray for you as well. Hope you feel better. Have you tried ice packs, some dietary changes..it may not work for everyone. Your experiences may help others, do share them, when you feel like it.
*Your writings are as expressive as emojis!*
Will be back soon. Take care.

oh yeah, 2016 was a rough year for me as well. Series of heartaches (don't want to remember it all over again)... but to balance it, we had a decent summer.
i find more comfort in putting hot packs on that side. cut out coffee as well, i think it used to trigger it a lot. No chewing gums. I do eat hard food sometimes, like nuts, but less now.
Here's praying for you. Hope 2017 completely rocks for you! <3

Looking back at the election, it seems it was overly optimistic to hope for her win. Obama was elected twice, so there was just no other way. 2 steps forward, one step back, that's the only way progress happens. At least, that's what I'm telling myself.

Therein lies your error. Sorry to intrude on grief management.

** it meant she felt the pain of those who trusted her to win this. that's a wonderful quality to have.
