Trump's chief of staff, Reince Priebus, appeared to pull back one of the most controversial elements of the order, which is its impact on green-card holders, who are permanent legal residents of the United States.

"As far as green card holders going forward, it doesn’t affect them," Priebus said on NBC News's "Meet the Press."

Friday night, DHS arrived at the legal interpretation that the executive order restrictions applying to seven countries -- Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Sudan and Yemen -- did not apply to people with lawful permanent residence, generally referred to as green card holders.
Bannon and Miller were running point on this order and giving directives regarding green cards, according to a Republican close to the White House.

John Kelly of DHS says that they're going to let the green card holders in. This shows how clueless that alcoholic, wife-beater was; who suggested to include "Lawful Permanent Residents" in the executive order. "Ban lawful permanent residents", sounds oxymoronic.
