We do not recognize tye position of governor. He is like the British Viceroy but with far more direct power.

DMK held that position until; 1967.

Annadurai should have went directly to the Fort and took over the office of CM without swearing in with governor in 1967.

It would have created a constitutional crisis. Would India dare deny the position to Annadurai, fresh off the 1965 agitation? I wonder.

Karunanidhi might have done it. That is why I repect him.
