i am not sure why the valor of Rajputs is so much appreciated. There seems to be a lot of hype about it. There is nothing worthwhile in Rajput history until they took up employment with the Mughals, and became Mughal vassals. All the Rajput kings turned out to be traitors and colluders when it came to dealing with the British; all of them sided with the British during the 1857-9 war of Indian independence. (In contrast, the Uttar Pradeshi kings sided with the rebels during 1857-9. )
