Judge whose Mexican heritage Trump denigrated will hear deportation case; ....Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who was born in the US but is of Mexican heritage, was attacked by Trump ....

whoa..born in the US but is of Mexican heritage... why "..but is of..", instead of "..and of Mexican heritage..."
No that make him any less of an american? is what they imply?

and this is from CNN  Rolling Eyes  

I could never understand the continuing colonial legacy of, particularly from folks of the east, using 'fair' for lighter skin tone, and this one, 'denigrating' - so many synonyms around and yet... No Crying or Very sad  the deculturization of the colonial past is not complete but keeps lurking, hopefully, unconsciously, in most people.
