SPIC MACAY, with branches in San Francisco, Toronto and elsewhere (more than 500 worldwide), is the creation of Dr. Kiran Seth.

Kiran, after graduating from IIT Kharagpur with B.Tech. degree in mechanical engineering in 1970 (the same year I graduated there) and receiving Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Columbia University in 1974 and while teaching mechanical engineering at IIT Delhi since 1976, has put in a tremendous effort to start and sustain this noble and educational project.

This is the opportunity for everyone to take a further look into SPIC MACAY (including its musical / cultural programs) and perhaps, if interested, become a part of it.

Prime Minister Modi, while inaugurating the Fifth International SPIC MACAY Convention at IIT Delhi (June 5-11, 2017) recently, was quite right in his opening remarks to acknowledge and appreciate Kiran's enormous contribution to this cause,     http://spicmacay.com/news/5th-international-convention-iit-delhi

Dr. Kiran Seth's vision and dedication over four decades in bringing the classical music and arts to youth through SPIC MACAY's concerts and programs in India and around the world is amazing. This is even of a greater value to those residing and studying in rural areas and schools. I certainly see its extreme importance because of myself having spent my childhood and done schooling in a village where there was nothing of this kind at that time in music and arts.

Dr. Kiran Seth definitely deserves all the kudos and thanks.
