A case for winding down of monomania.......

Persian empire was powerful before aliens ravaged their lands and destroyed their culture. Monomaniacs barged in and made most of the Persian empire pieceful (take a look at Iran and central Asian countries).

Christian hold on Europe created the "dark ages". The way those guys were behaving at that time was similar to how the pieceful behave now - using similar dogma against rationalism and logic. It was only after science won over dogma that Europe pulled itself out of dark ages and started to dominate the world.

India was prosperous before monomaniacs came in. Its GDP growth would have been higher if the pieceful never entered the sub-continent. Since it withstood the pieceful onslaught, India is at least on the path to regaining tis proper position in the world.

So, monomania (Semitic faiths in general) freezes people in the past because their dogma doesn't allow independent thinking and knowledge generation. Prosperous Christian countries are doing well not because they diligently practice their religion but because they pay lip service to it and put scientific advancements into practice. If you look at countries with strong Christian following, they are backward. Muslim nations are all backward. Saudi Arabia and other middle-eastern countries are making money on oil and that has nothing to do with their religion. If Oil use goes down, these countries will go back to stones, donkeys and camels. Egypt was great as a Pagan culture. Monomaniacs went there and the only thing that Egyptians can be proud of is their Pagan history.

Wishing death to monomania sounds harsh but what comes out of that will be rationalism, knowledge generation, development and prosperity.

A myth has been perpetuated in world history that, if not for the Arabs, Europe would continue to be in dark ages. Therefore, the Arabs fostered science.....

All that the Arabs did was to transplant knowledge from one place to the other - just like an elephant that eats and destroys the acacia tree and drops the seeds elsewhere.....

In Europe or America, prosperity came mainly because science dominated dogma. That would have happened whether Arabs wiped their butts with stones or sand and mounted camels or donkeys. If not an elephant, some other animal or even the wind will foster regeneration of plants......

The only thing the iSlamic Arabs deserve credit for is - for being savages and destroying cultures across the globe......
