The chances of war are now inching towards the 50 per cent mark from where it will become inevitable.

Even though the Indian Army is digging in for a long eyeball-to-eyeball situation and even a short war, the rest of India continues to live in la-la land.

China can't afford the war. If there is a war, China's image and economy will suffer. China has just one friend in the area - PakiSatan. Everyone else is leery of the Dragon. Japan and the US are supporting India (Russia is also quietly supporting because they don't want to see a strong China). India isn't unprepared.

Also, there is no discussion about sectarian strife in Bengal and Tripura. My friend lives in Darjeeling and he said that citing security reasons, internet has been cut off in the area for over 40 days. People there are crossing into Nepal to do grocery shopping.

Chinese state-run Global Times wrote, "India's withdrawal from Chinese territory is a precondition and a basis for any meaningful dialogue between the two sides. The Chinese side will not talk with India on the issue before the Indian troops' unconditional withdrawal."

My original question remains. Why are the great patriots here concerned that your military is going to get a whacking?
