Did India blink at the Chinese Border?
The Chinese military will remain vigilant and firmly defend national territory and sovereignty following a military stand-off between China and India, a Chinese military spokesperson said Monday.
India has withdrawn its personnel and equipment from Dong Lang (Doklam) after the stand-off that lasted more than two months.
"We remind India to draw lessons from the stand-off, abide by established treaties and the basic principles of international law, and work together with China to safeguard peace and stability along the border and promote the healthy development of the two militaries," he said.
The spokesperson said that the Chinese military is confident and capable of safeguarding national sovereignty, safety and the interests of development. It is also confident and capable of making a bigger contribution to world peace.

Re: Did India blink at the Chinese Border?
No, it is China that blinked. They pulled out their road construction equipment BEFORE Indian troops pulled out. Apparently, the Chinese did their calculations and realized that they would be embarrassed if there were a military conflict. India has the advantage of having military bases in border districts while China has to house its troops in high altitude areas in Tibet. They can eat as much chow mein as they want but they will be at a disadvantage. So, they decided not to join butcher Prabhakaran in the frying pan.......Kayalvizhi wrote:The Chinese military will remain vigilant and firmly defend national territory and sovereignty following a military stand-off between China and India, a Chinese military spokesperson said Monday.
