I'll just look at the Bengali sweets and eat the Odissi sweets in the picture (i.e., I'll eat most of them!!!).

It will be interesting to find names for sweets shown in the above. I personally can name only a few. For example, naming the three throws of sweets in the above as F (front), M (middle) and R (rear), and counting from left to right (as 1, 2, 3...),
(L-1) ? (red laddoo, I think)
(L-2) laddoo
(L-3) ?
(L-4) ?
(L-5) Gulab jamun
(L-6) Ras-gullah
(L-7) ?
(M-1) ?
(M-2) ?
(M-3) ?
(M-4) ?
(M-5) ?
(R-1) ?
(R-2) ?
(R-3) ?
(R-4) ?
(R-5) ?
(R-6) ?
(R-7) ?

Looking at each of these sweets trying to name them is even more torture, Sevaji I took some (un)educated guesses about some of the sweets. Would be happy if someone can name the remaining few and or correct the ones I named wrong.

SevaJi,
You could send it to me and I will eat and tell you how it is. That way you will not have the burden of eating them!
Otherwise you take these sweets to SG Jaggi Vasudev who is visiting Toronto soon (OCT 14/15) and ask your question and other questions too!

I think I will instead just go to a halwaayii (sweets maker) and get the info. on names for various sweets.
