I am reposting this at the request of garam_kuta (i deleted my post because i thought the idea needs to be thought through a bit more):

what do folks here think of donating or receiving a stipend in return for promoting secularism on various internet forums? this activity would be for purely altruistic, non-political reasons in the interest of encouraging peace, harmony, and tolerance in society.

Needless to say i am one of those who would like to donate for this cause.
