thanks... the OP qawwali (and the movie) sort of resonates with the timeline of my life in which i was going through it rather unwillingly and unhappy with the changes it was bringing, and I was myself changing a lot. Sometimes I look at the 2005 me and think 'wow, i could never be that again'. 

A very haunting number. Got reminded of the original shayari by mirza ghalib while watching something else.
