Who, how & why?
Row over President’s languages award, TN parties say Tamil omitted (April 30, 2018):
“Only Sanskrit, Pali, Prakrit, Arabic, Persian, Classical Oriya, Classical Kannada, Classical Telugu and Classical Malayalam finds a place and not Classical Tamil. This shows the BJP-led Centre’s deep-rooted hate and discrimination for Tamil,” he (M.K. Stalin) claimed. https://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/row-over-president-s-languages-award-tn-parties-say-tamil-omitted/story-dD2tSg0QR7X9gkXllu3qoM.html
>>> May be the omission of Tamil from the awards list originally was deliberate to make BJP-led Govt. look bad and create unnecessary controversy. The Govt. may like to look into it further to find out who issued the original list and how / why?

Re: Who, how & why?
BJP did it or not, BJP TN leader said that there is nothing wrong with that decision. She will be kicked out of that kushy position if she said anything else.
Congress does the same.
Congress does the same.

Only in Indian Media, do they bring on guests to make any news as BJP vs. Congress.
I do not know what happened to the "news" for common folks.
Indian media is the most "corrupt" of them all.

The allegation in the statement ("This shows the BJP-led Centre’s deep-rooted hate and discrimination for Tamil") by Mr. M.K. Stalin against the "BJP-led" Govt. specifically at the Centre indicates that there is more to it than that meets the eye and leaving Tamil out of the list.
Re: Who, how & why?
This is the second time this year Tamil was left out on awards. There is a systematically ignoring Tamil by Hindian government because Tamil is the only South Asian language not contaminated by Sanskrit.
March 2018: Indian embassy in USA called for nominations for Presidential Award of Certificates of Honour to distinguished scholars of Sanskrit, Oriya, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam.

Re: Who, how & why?
I'd like to know what the truth of this matter is.
Were there 2 lists, one original and one later? If there were and the original left out Thamizh, it should be a mistake that the central government should not allow to happen. If that is not the case and it wasn't left out then Stalin should explain why he made the allegation.
Unfortunately in India we do not distinguish between political party and government and this lets such mistakes and even worse ones go without holding anyone accountable.

There is only one list. That list does not include Tamil.

Perhaps there might even be a mole in the bureaucracy which is not a fan of BJP or BJP-led Govt. and thus ready / willing to push mischievously any type of incomplete list (such as without Tamil in the previous list) for signature and official declaration from or in the name of BJP Govt. or minister (who probably signs anything put in front of him by his "official" secretary etc., without going through or understanding the contents). The investigation into this episode can shed light on that too.Kudanthaikaaran wrote:I'd like to know what the truth of this matter is.

The investigation into this can also be helpful in ruling out the influence of any anti-national or foreign elements.Seva Lamberdar wrote:Perhaps there might even be a mole in the bureaucracy which is not a fan of BJP or BJP-led Govt. and thus ready / willing to push mischievously any type of incomplete list (such as without Tamil in the previous list) for signature and official declaration from or in the name of BJP Govt. or minister (who probably signs anything put in front of him by his "official" secretary etc., without going through or understanding the contents).
