BJP is unpopular in Telangana and AP.....
.....Just returned from vacation in the Telugu states (T-AP). Looks like KCR and CBN will win in 2019. BJP is unpopular in both states. Jagan, Pawan and Satyanarayana (BJP) will split some votes but that won’t be enough to significantly cut into TDP vote share. Kapu vote will be split between BJP and Pawan and Jagan will get Reddy and Christian vote. CBN has carefully planned to garner SC-ST and Muslim votes (cutting into Jagan’s vote share). Brahmins are unhappy with TDP because CBN has not honored his promise in the 2014 election manifesto to help temple archakas (who have been neglected for a long time). They want the “dEvAdAya & dharmAdAya” ministry and govt. control of temples abolished. So far, TDP is silent on this issue. Added to this, the recent Tirupati temple episode is creating problems for TDP. The common man (irrespective of caste) seems to believe that politicians involved in temple administration are siphoning money out (a couple of past chairmen of temple boards are caught with disproportionate assets). Telugu swamis (Paripoornanda, Chinna Jeeyar, Swaroopananda, etc.), who are popular on TV channels, are voicing the same views. Garikapati and Chaganti, who are conducting modern equivalents on TV channels of the old Puraana kaalakshepam, are very popular among the youth! I had a discussion with a Dalit (maala) young man in my village. He says that he watches the programs regularly. I was very impressed by his knowledge of temple rituals and traditional festivals (he was appropriately using explanations from Gita and the Upanishads while talking about these)......

your analysis is totally wrong. last time, tdp+bjp+pk barely won. the difference in votes and percentages was very small. this time, without bjp and pk, tdp will definitely lose. also, tdp only lost votes since last elections because of its all round dismal failures. only wild card is if pk is able to split the anti-incumbancy votes.Vakavaka Pakapaka wrote:.....Just returned from vacation in the Telugu states (T-AP). Well, extremely brilliant people like you just have to wait and see what happens in 2019. Polavaram will be completed before the election (BJP made a mistake by giving the project to CBN and in being slow in releasing funds; AP govt is diverting state's funds to complete the project knowing that Modi will eventually be forced to compensate). This year, Rayalaseema has already seen Krishna water being diverted to them because of Pattiseema's Godavari water to Krishna delta. So, farmers don't have an incentive to vote for Jagan.garam-kuta wrote:

actually it looks like you have been thoroughly brainwashed by the yellow media and turned into an extremely brilliant garibi-hatao shouting fukular sikularist. to the extent that you don't even see anything wrong with babu joining hands with soonya and pappu.
