barely glanced at a Telugu movie called "Snehituda " ( i suppose it means friendship )

then did a double take ....... It was an exact EXACT copy of the hit bollywood movie "The 3 idiots "

why couldnt Telugus see it dubbed ? Unless the Bollywoodians decided to make another one with complete Telugu cast or gave the Telugus permission for a fee

Isn't there anything like copyright in India ?

PS not that Hindi movies aren't patterned after Hollwood movies !

stinks yaar

what happened to your other pithy saying from Joe D Maggio that was your signature. I was contemplating deeply on that quote which said something like ' there is some one who is born to play ball', and I haven't yet found out the deeper meaning in that. Unless it was a double entendre, then it makes complete sense.

doof the goof .

the quote coming as it did from good ole Joe couldn't possibly have carry a deep meaning

. Married to Marilyn Monroe he must often have experienced a no ball situation

take it at face value ..

but like you... i looked for the naughty side of it and chuckled

kris,

seeing a few minutes of this Telugu film I was floored

every scene has been copied down to the last detail

I mean there is no place to hide for the director ...

at least we have copyright on Basmati rice ,Haldi and Yoga

or do we?

Snihetudu is a dubbed version of Tamil flick Nanban which is a remake of 3 Idiots. The remake rights were purchased from the producers of 3 Idiots and all due credits were given for Story and Screen Play. No copyrights were violated .

Now you can sleep easy and store away your indignation for the next perceived outrage.
