You actually have to know the song from Pyaasa (Ye duniya agar mil bhi jaye to kya hai)" to appreciate this .

Hopefully you all do.

The author must have thought the song was from Guru Dutt's "Kaagaz ke Phool " but it is from " Pyaasa ".
