...as Ponting, dropped from the ODI side, may announce a complete retirement from international cricket.

As Maninder Singh said just everyone is "afraid" of even talking of dropping Tendulkar/Sehwag and hence resorting to the idiotic "rotation" policy.

Time for Tendulkar to RETIRE.

The only difference between Ponting and $kar is the country. OZ have guts to hire or fire anyone and poeple in OZ can brush anyone aside. BCCI does not have guts to pull a piece of hair from $kar. If they touch him, the entire nation will burn cities and villages until he is reinstated. He has to either retire by himself or be disabled to lift a willow. There is no other way. AFAIK he won't quit anytime soon (even after he gets his 100th). He will continue in Tonty Tonty anyway till his son takes the mantle.
