the great hindi film actor Dalip Kumar started getting type cast as a 'Tragedy King'. Many of his movies in which he played tragic roles like Daag, Devdaas, and many others became big hits and so producers kept making similar movies with him as the tragic hero. The result of playing tragic roles again and again was that Dalip Saab started getting depression in real life. He went to a psychiatrist who advised him to act in some comedy movies. He took the advice. Some great comedy movies like Kohinoor and Azaad resulted and Dalip Saab found that he had outgrown his depression.

dont believe it .. the depression I mean

Its Dilip Kumar by the way not Dalip Kumar Dalips are usually sardaars dilip is not his name anyway.

Yusuf Khan is his original name

unlike these days Muslims were not looked upon with favour so he too the name dilip ..today its a matter of pride to be a Khan even Hindu actors take the stage name of Khan he he just kidding

So this Dilip Kumar married twice or thrice who has kept count 1ist wife being Saira Banu

He just celebrated his 89th birthday with great pomp sort of thumbing his nose at Dev Anand who passed away at a similar age recently Raj Kapoor is long gone dead so Mr Dilip Kumar has outlived the other two

oh yeah he would have starved in Pakistan for sure

he was better off in India

so no reson for him to be depressed unless he wanted a fifth wife and he was denied it ..citing impotence lol
