Jabalpur (PTI): Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Monday credited the Gandhi family for Tendulkar's record of 100 international hundreds. Speaking with the reporters from his residence in Jabalpur, the maverick congressman said "Look, if Indiraji Gandhiji had not intervened in 1971, we would not have seen Bangladesh today. Tendulkar's 100th century came against Bangladesh and the entire credit of his record must go to Indiraji Gandhiji." Referring to India's defeat in the same match despite Tendulkar's 100, he commented, "Indiraji Gandhiji is not responsible for that defeat. It is, in fact, the RSS who provoked Bangladeshi muslims by a comment (made in 1983) and Bangladeshis were determined to win."

He is right. It is a fact that Bangladesh would not exist without Indiraji Gandhiji's intervention. I hope you did not write this in jest. Jai Indiraji, congrats Soniaji.
