Called IBM/Lenovo yesterday at 5pm about some trouble I was having with my kid's laptop. After a 10 min call, the tech agreed to ship a part to me. Also sent me a link with how-to video so I could replace the part myself. The part arrived today 10am. I spent 5 mins putting it in and problem's resolved.

Gotta love this kind of super awesome customer service. Sadly, don't see it too often.

On the other end of the spectrum, the doorbell rang at 6pm the other day when I was going over my kid's homework. I thought it's some neighborhood kid but turned out to be a Comcast rep, notepad and pen in hand.

Rep: Hi, are you Alex?
Me: No, Alex sold the house to me. How can I help you?
Rep: Do you have Comcast service?
Me: No and I don't want it.
Rep: Can you tell me why you don't want it?
Me: I already have cable service. Had Comcast a while back and wasn't happy with it.
Rep: Can you tell me why weren't you happy with it?

At this point I said 'bye bye' and shut the door on him. My son was aghast at my rudeness but what's with these twits ringing my doorbell at 6pm for fuckin customer satisfaction surveys??? grrr

My friend had an exact opposite experience with Lenovo customer service. So much so that he is vowed never to buy Lenovo again.

Good to see they have improved.

Comcast is the DEVIL.

I think Lenovo quality has gone down. IMB/Thinkpad was much more robust as compared to Lenovo/Thinkpad. Even then, I have four Thinkpads in the house.

I was just very happy with their customer service so thought of making a thread about it.

Yes, Comcast sux dog poop.

Dunno if u consider Dell as run of the mill computer but i have had no trouble with its service on my laptop

also if the call gets over to Gurgaon India I am in seventh heaven chitchat , get all my queries answered. parts shipped

I had those at some point when my inlaws/parents were visiting. Right now I have only FIOS internet. No cable.

I'm too sexy for Zee TV, srsly.
