Aishwarya Rai's daughter
Did they name her Aaraadhya? Nice name (one who deserves to be worshipped/loved/devoted to).

Hm...I am imagining a white man called Blackman and a blackman names Whiteman.

But those are last names. No choice. You do have choice with first names, and I think they chose a nice one for their daughter(something original, and with a nice meaning, and one that apparently expresses their feeling for the little one).

These days they name anything...Aaradhaya is okay. They shorten it anyway.

Don't know about being worshiped first, but with all those a's at the beginning of her name, she will at least be guaranteed to be the first person called during roll call at school.Another Brick wrote:indophile, doesn't aaradhya means the one who deserves to be worshipped first? isn't ganapati aaradhya deity?

Aradhya is also a last name in Karnataka, indicating membership of one of the Veerashaiva sects.

Doesn't have to be first. "aaraadhya" with the deserves to be worshipped/adored" meaning is used for any god/goddess or even a beloved (female).

Whatever....here is my prediction:
Aaraadhya will be an actress and will not be a scientist, an engineer, a body mechanic, plane driver, plane waitress, or a liar or a Dalal-street looter.
