He noted distinctions such as the thickness and details on the backs of the devices in his ruling. "The informed user's overall impression of each of the Samsung Galaxy Tablets is the following," he said in his ruling. "From the front they belong to the family which includes the Apple design; but the Samsung products are very thin, almost insubstantial members of that family with unusual details on the back. They do not have the same understated and extreme simplicity which is possessed by the Apple design. They are not as cool. The overall impression produced is different."

does the British judge's view apply not just to tablets but also to phones? Also, is the current lag in iphone sales because sections of the public are eagerly waiting for the arrival of the iphone 5 ?.

In tablets there is no comparison. Apple is the king. No one comes close.

There are some very good Android phones in the market. Samsung SIII is a great phone though most of its cool features dont really work. So it is losing market in the higher end to Android phones + people waiting for the new iphone.

What more people want to do with their "phone" other than to talk ? Already they use it to listen to music, videocam, take pics, record convo, use as phone dir, etc..etc...

More ???already these phones are getting larger and now they are almost 5 to 7".
