Romney and Ryan will lose.

Single BIG negative: Both are Northies and from democratic bastions when it comes to national politics.

The SOUTH simply will NOT - repeat - not vote for 2 northies who are catholic and Mormon, and from liberal states.

Also these will come back to haunt the GoP candidates:

Have a feeling that "Congressional laws dont apply to Congressmen" is working here.

Hence, there are no charges filed. It is for the Congress to launch its own investigation on its members - ethical, moral or criminal...

Correct me if i am wrong.

Your reasoning on southies not voting for repub northies has no factual basis. Repub south remained steady through out last 40 years. Only breaks were jimmy carter and clinton in their home states. South is in the bag of repub. West seems to be leaning heavily for obama. Northeast except for NH is all obama. So the suspense is in 12 or so states that areswing states. Ryan gets wisconsin. Romney could be hoping to get some help from ryan in iowa very close to janesville WI. He may also be helpful in oh mi penn and mn.
Ryan 's selection could also pull election to issues where obama can still pull it off.
Romney did make a bold.choice.

Because it was not a crime for members of Congress to do insider trading. It was a crime for you and me, but not for them. And Ryan exploited that. They passed a law earlier this year closing that loophole. Ryan is rich and comfortably off, but he still tried to take advantage of special knowledge he obtained -- knowledge that most market participants cannot legally use. Again, it boils down that one word: character. Personal greed vs. doing the right thing: Romney and Ryan are on the same page on that matter.

so you get the USA treasury secretary and fed chairman tell you that US markets are going crash and burn and you get time to sell all risky assests and then you write alegislation about it. Man that is deal that warren buffet would love to have. Reporters should ask tough questions about it.
