If someone has vast general knowledge and stays current with current affairs, would you call him or her smart or intelligent?

In other words, does becoming Jeopardy champion signify high IQ?

*Would see that person as someone who is more aware of current events and trends, that's all.

*Don't think the Jeopardy champion must have a high IQ. Must have good memory, be sharp (attentive) and have quick recall abilities.

People who don't keep up with current events or participate in quiz shows can be very intelligent and have high IQs.

Sara,

I am not sure if you watch any game shows besides Jeopardy..I used to watch quite a few of them..some of the spontaneous moments were hilarious (def. better than the reality and Jerry Springer-type shows!)

The quality of this video is not that great..but, still funny!
