"not obama" not sufficient

the conventions are over. the convention bounces are behind us and willard is behind in the polls. we still have a long way to go, the debates haven't even started yet. but the fact that he is behind in the polls is an indication that people are not buying nobama. the lesson for R&r is that it is not enough to say they are not obama. unregistered voters are looking for a vision and that is missing. this is not a case of the incumbent being egregiously incompetent and idiotic (rewind to 2008) that it is a walk in the park for the opposition. i hope this will spur R&r to present a detailed set of ideas and a specifics-rich PoA for the next four years during the debates.

1) cut taxes
2) make Bush Tax cuts permanent
3) completely exempt capital gains from taxation
4) cut welfare
5) cut social security and only to those who can prove need after retirement
6) cut medicare
7) repeal Obamacare
Cool

cut drastically funds for education dept.
9) issue school vouchers to parents
10) Provide money to religious institutions for moral and ethical based education to kids.
11) abolish abortion
12) Put prayers back in school
13) Cut Taxes
14) Cut more taxes
15) Cut even more taxes

To be fair, am sure O and B will also say the exact same military lines..in a different way and without perhaps openly saying they will increase spending.

Unless there is some huge blunder, think all of us know what they are ALL going to say..

*It is all going to coming down to telegenic appearances, tone, quick response (perceptions).. Of course, more pressure will be on Mr. Romney, who really is a great debater!

I would like to see how Mr. Obama performs..he is not a great debater..but, I think it was hard for him to handle Ms. Hillary- not to come across as disrepecting her, because he knew her as a Senator/acquaintance..and also as any male candidate has to be careful not to hit a female candidate too hard, and with Mr. McCain..the same he was a senior colleague and a respected war veteran.

But, with Mr. Romney..does not seem like there is any affection or connection between them..will be interesting to see if it frees him more to be tougher and at the same time look Presidential.
