I agree... Punjus - the Sardars in particular - are the best.

Of course, their women are great and stay that way much longer in their lives - not that it makes any difference....

dunno abt sunnyvale: desis bring down the attractiveness quotient waayyy low in those parts that the token mall clerk blondes/hot asians cant nearly begin to tip the balance to the otherside

On my favorite other state: Karnataka or should I say Bangalore. Great people and great food. No other place in India is as supportive of new comers as Bangalore.

i have found that in comparison, kannadas are absolute dullards, tamils can be found discussing this concert or that. telugus know that concerts are for entertainment and a raaga will not make or break a real estate deal. i don't know any north indians.

i've come to know a few malayalis in the last few years and i think they watch a lot of porn. the statistics show that they have a huge unemployment rate, a high suicide rate, and no industry other than a tourism industry. i think all those things are tied together. you would think that with the highest literacy rate they would have something better to show. the women work, the men are lazy.

i've found that in college and in post-graduate training the telugu kids are very out-going and popular and confident. Punjabi kids are just proud of themselves for being fair and will do a harvest-dance every chance they get.

i like what nat had to say about gujaratis, i agree with her, but i find them to be somewhat superstitious.

so those are all my biases.
