If India had 150 to 200 runs (that in itself was a big if -the batting then was just as bad as it is today), the crowd was expectant, and the opposition knew they could not take a win for granted...

Bedi, prasanna, and Chandra will take over after a solitary customary opening bowling by Solkar - who bowled at 105 to 110 kmph, and then the opposition dance will be begin. Most of the times the opponents won by 3 to 4 wickets and we used to wish that India had just another 50 runs more....

Chandra bowling was like a magic, and it is not at all unusul for the batting greats to be beaten 2 to 3 balls every over against most spinners.

Those were the "good old days"
