you have doubts about whether taking the law into one's own hands is right or not?

to hit back right away when someone does eg eve teasing is one thing.... to keep staying there and to keep hitting is a problem.

Looks like you have not heard of the term "self-defense".

read more comments on FB... the girl (ouch, Haryanavi) was going on her scooty, and this tempo driver went past her singing some suggestive Haryanavi song. That's when she beat him up. Still don't approve the rage.

Why do you disapprove of her having been outraged?

What do you think was she must have done?

Just curious how did she stop him?

It looks like she must have gone ahead and blocked his way.

One gutsy woman.

I bet she used some choice words when she confronted him.

What she did was not self defense but assault. If at all, one quick slap or push would have sufficed. The getting back should be quick and definitive. It may not need to extend to the level it did here. Reporting to the cops may not have worked, agreed.

Also, I think it's pretty impractical and dangerous to go ahead and start beating up someone. Coz that person may hurt you more, and may get away with it coz it would be in his self defense.

What else people can do when the protectors and law enforcers dont give a damn? And most of htese connected criminals get out free?

If the laws dont protect the common man as they should, then the common man will do whatever it takes.

I have become a strong proponent of Gun rights for Indians in India.

Have you ever walked into a police station in India with a complaint? ever? and what was the result?

I have done that on a couple of simple matters - which made me realize the police has a routine in tackling cases concerning most people - except from the influential ones.
