....a study from Thomson Reuters Foundation showed last summer that Indian women are discriminated against, abused and killed to an extent that is absolutely unheard of among the other of the world's 20 largest economies. The report spoke about how it was common to see "well-dressed women in western clothes on scooters or in the car on the way to work as doctors, lawyers and police officers" but how "urban dangers lurk just below the surface".

So these westernized Indian women bring out "hunger" in the sex driven men? Life style in India has changed tremendously, women wear sassy dresses to work. They work night shifts, live in with BF, are in disco clubs late nights. OMG! Shocked

Indian society will NEVER become a US/European society. There are TOO MANY levels of differences in cities, rural and urban areas.

Passing judgement on India is meaningless while living in San Jose, NY or Boston, while small pockets of US-look-alike living conditions and people don't define the society.
