You know rape in India has been used to keep the lower castes in check for many decades (as long as I have been able to read ive been reading reports of it). Even drawing water out of a well thats reserved for the higher castes will get all the women in a household raped, usually with the men beaten up and made to watch. This is to break them and make them commit suicide. And serves as a lesson to all the other low caste families telling them they will meet the same fate.

The police is complicit in this. And this happens all over rural India.

I was not surprised by this attack at all because Ive read far far far worse stories. its just not a big deal in India because it happens to the poor or the lowest caste women and their families. Children and Infants are also not spared. How do you expect someone to have any humanity left in them after they witness their mothers, wife and daughters get raped right in front of them - for something as silly as drawing water out of the wrong fucking well.
