I know a Telugu girl whose father worked in many places in India. The family had lived in Delhi as well. She said her father always made sure that she never smiled at anyone outside of the family especially at women. I asked her why. Her father told her that if she was not careful, strangers who act friendly would trap her into flesh trade.
