because they broadcast negative news about ruling politicians, or show negative aspects of their personalities?

because, in their talk shows, they make humorous comments about those in power?

And when the head honcho in power says he would bury the heads of those news channels 10 kilometers deep, is it a crime to show him up as a crazy nut?

Yes, all these things are happening in KCR's Telangana, and the guy recently won an endorsement from none other than the great Lalu Prasad Yadav, Bihar ka puttar.
