Ramesh a Tamil brahmin has an MBA from Georgia Southwestern State University. He is now the CEO of an IT body shop.

He has posted his biography on his website.

He wanted to mention his MBA degree but did not want to say that he went to Georgia Southwestern State University, a fourth tier school.

He wanted to give the impression that he went to University of Georgia itself, the flagship state university of Georgia.

But if he says "Received an MBA from the university of Georgia.", he will get into trouble.

What do you think he did to achieve his goal?

Rishi

Paparajan, you missed an important piece of the puzzle. Is the Tambrahm an Iyer or is he an Iyengar?

"MBA from GSSU, Georgia"?

Reminds me of my uncle, god bless his soul... he had the distinct capability of securing just the passing marks and no more, no matter what exam. So when listing percentage on forms, he would go

3rd
Third
III
3

lol...

If he just says "Received MBA from the university of Georgia.", he will get into trouble.

Hint: He added one word after "University of Georgia". That did the trick.

What is that word?

What is that word?

"System" ???

OR

"Univ of Georgia School" at Americus, GS might be ambiguous enough and would pass muster..

Perfect.

There are more than 20 institutions under the system.

I went to his company's annual dinner sometime in the past. His friend brought his two daughters there. One of the kids asked this guy where he went to school. He replied "Carnegie Melon University". I was sitting next to him. And then he gave them a story about what an outstanding student he was at CMU and he went to the dean and demanded that they gave him a scholarship etc. The truth is it was one of his friends who went there. And the man is dead. So this CEO desi simply stole that story and made it part of his own life.

I wonder why he had to resort to revising his life history. He was smart, intelligent and successful in spite having gone to low quality schools both in India and here.
