i don't remember ever discussing RK at sulekha or here. he was a musician's musician. he had his early training from sankara sivam, who was also t.n.seshagopalan's guru. later he came under the influence of the veeNai dhanammal school and learned from her granddaughters - the great muktA and brindA. he taught for a few years at wesleyan university. i LOVE his music. here is a complete recording which became quite popular amongst americans who wanted to learn carnatic music. it's simply titled vidwan:
