those who are fortunate to have had one or two good teachers in high school who really shaped their interest in a subject will readily identify with this.

i am often struck by saraboji's (aka rishi) complete dismissal of indian education. i didn't go to fancy expensive private schools, but i had some great math and science teachers who really cared about the importance of their work.
