Ashdoc's movie review---Saheb biwi and gangster returns

Rajas and maharajas have awesome tastes---while some are more benign , like playing chaughan ( polo ) with other royals ; other tastes are more sinister , like kidnapping other people's women....

And so what if Jimmy Shergill is a raja of a crumbling monarchy ruling
from a crumbling mansion---he retains all these tastes.....

And if director Tigmanshu Dhulia is to be believed , some royal women
have awesome tastes too , from wearing saris with backless blouses to
liking endless glasses of liquor to having a wholesome appetite for sex
with different men....

And leading the royal women with the awesome tastes is the sultry Mahie
Gill , a siren whose passions include men and more men , liquor and more
liquor , and power and more power---in that order....

The men---she has consumed some and has the capacity for consuming more.....

The liquor---it has consumed her more than she has the capacity to
consume it.....to the point that she is perpetually drunk.....

And the power ??? Aaaahh.....that is in short supply.....
For power requires money , and her expensive tastes and her infidelity
ensure that her husband the raja Jimmy Shergill keeps her short of
that....

So what does our poor poor poor damsel do for that ??

No problem , where there are capable men there is power and money , and Irfan Khan is such a capable man.....

And he is ready to supply Mahie with endless amounts of both , but the
question is---is she satisfied with only that , knowing her tastes ?? I
suspect you know the answer already.....

So Irfan has to fulfill her maneating appetites too , and the pleasure is all Mahie's.....

But Irfan actually is in a relationship with Soha Ali Khan , the daughter of another royal.....

Enter the raja Jimmy Shergill's awesome tastes for kidnapping other's
women , and is it such a filmy coincidence that he decides to force Soha
into his bed....

So Irfan and Jimmy become enemies , but will Soha forgive Irfan when she
realises that he has been satisfying the bottomless passions of Mahie
Gill the raja's wife....

Welcome to this game of musical chairs , where love and passions can be
transferred from one person to another and power is the ultimate
goal.....

And the path to power can lie on a row of dead bodies---no one has a problem with that.....

And the game of musical chairs does hold your attention in the first half , but becomes too complicated in the second.....

There is less sex than in the first edition of the movie , though the dialogues are as crisp as ever.....

Mahie Irfan and Jimmy act well , but the second half of the movie lets you down.....

Rajeev Gupta does a superb act in his bumbling politician's role ,
creating some funny situations , but all this does not save us from the
not-so-great climax....

In the end , I found this movie less satisfying than the first
edition....and I am not merely talking about the sex and lust part (
though that is important too , at least for me ) ....

Verdict---just about okay .
