It's a good thing that the State's riches are used to tackle poverty, the working poor instead of continuing to simply provide tax loopholes for the wealthy rich to get wealthier.

This is how misuse starts. Just wait for few more months, a couple of years.

Politicians will figure out a way to make money out of this (I myself can suggest some ways right now).

Is it the role state govt to provide cheap breakfast?
Is this not another form of buying votes through public money? Was this not tried before? The result is poor voting for some politician who will earn tons of money for herself. The development of state goes down the drain.
The job of govt should be to support a democratic capitalistic economy to flourish to provide decent jobs to people. Such opportunity to make a dignified living creates the society that can elect leaders who do not need to buy votes. While that will remain a distant dream, should we not encourage politicians who hoodwink people with subsidies?
