"The essence of Nature was not some concrete material realm but a mathematical abstraction. The theory worked beautifully, producing efficient descriptions of countless experiments. Quantum physics revolutionized the world. But its interpretation, if you so choose to think about it, remains mysterious."

unfortunately not a whole lot of understanding of QM can come about without learning a bit of the required language -- a smattering of linear algebra and probability theory. english is simply inadequate.

if you want something deeper just watch the first of the famed balakrishnan lectures on youtube.

I am convinced that we need a new kind of math to understand biology is what one feels after reading Schrodinger's " what's life?"
and even now, I sorta find it hard to believe this , but
Anyone who is not shocked by quantum theory has not understood it.
--Niels Bohr
I think that I can safely say that nobody understands quantum mechanics.
--Richard Feynman
I don't like it, and I'm sorry I ever had anything to do with it.
