Two things to note:
1. Born in Kolkata, Das moved to Waukesha, Wisconsin, at the age of 7 with his parents, Sankar and Kakali Das, the University statement said,
Duhhh....if he had continued in India, his skills would have long been blunted. Would have gone to IIT, then IIM, and then joined some bank...
2. will head to Oxford University
to pursue a master's degree in biomedical engineering with a fully
funded Whitaker Fellowship. He will then continue his studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he has been admitted to the chemistry Ph.D. program.
Again, thanks to his US education he thinks and acts differently.

May be there are a lot more Indian and Chinese kids like this who could not get into selective schools because of reverse discrimination.

there are smart individuals in each group. a data point of one does not tell much about the group. it is not enough to make a comparison with other groups.Rishi wrote:Are Bengalis smarter than other groups from India?
having said that let me say that Bengalis and tambrahms are the beneficiaries of early east Indian company contact. both groups are thriving better than other groups.

Why did one group give rise to a lot of revolutionaries while the other group gave us Wussy Iyer boys?

Reading the title, I thought the article was on Carvakavaka. Kukatpally produced the most brilliant people and brought prestige to Telangana.
