Thanks for posting this. I hope Rajapaksa and some of his generals end up war crimes court, like Milosevic and Mladic did. Fat chance of that happening, I know, but shelling hospitals in a "safe zone" is so not done in 2009.

NOTHING will happen to those in Power.

India is the only one who can dictate and demand a fair solution. But, it tends to maintain good neighborly relations by following a policy of appeasement. All nearby countries know that and play the Pakistani, Chinese, or American, and Arab cards if India ever raises cards.

India simply does not have the guts to call anyone's bluff other than that of its own citizens.

The fault clearly lies in the hands of Hindia.

I have several Srilankan friends who say that Mahinda Rajapaksha should win Nobel for what he did in Sri Lanka.

These are some of the most liberal when it comes to policies in the US but steadfastly refuse to believe that atrocities were committed to end LTTE.

That just indicates how bad the situation has gotten between the Sinhalese and Tamil people on that island. After all, Fonseka the general who led the army during the war talked about the atrocities committed by his army at the behest of Mahinda's brother -- so it is not like it is hard to find evidence, if you are a Sinhalese with an open mind. It is just that your "liberal" friends are silently calculating in their own minds that: thousands of innocent Tamil people dead at the hands of their army < thousands of innocent Sinhalese people dead at the hands of LTTE.
