"If Cinderella's shoe fit perfectly, then why did it fall off".
Did you ever think of that ?
That is why dealing with kids and fresh minds is interesting.
P.S. You should tell him in Indian style - Don't ask such questions and respect elders.

Actually..these child stories never interested me. As a kid, I used to read Mahabarat(am) every day and was fascinated... Alas... Even that I have forgotten much about it.

ya, he has a habit of reading out loud whatever he reads from his ipod, or suddenly tells stuff he remembers from school, or witty stuff he hears on some tv shows. My most fave q's from him are the 'would-you-rather' kind.
To answer him, I began blabbering something about 'she was running, it was midnight, and e'thing she had got from the fairy was turning back into its original form. Then I discovered a flaw in my own story. If everything was disappearing, why didn't the shoe disappear. So I stopped talking, and he had moved on to finish his ipod game anyway, was obvious he wasn't interested in the answer. I did open wiki to read the story, and was more aghast to discover there were 2-3 versions out there.

Re: question
VB: I remember my son making this comment to his friend when he was about 8. "Do you know why the tooth fairy only likes kids and not grownups? Coz only the kids when they lose teeth find money under the pillow, not grandpas.

It seems nothing lasts for ever, even perfection.
