In college I always told my buddies that calling a girl "thangachi" right away saves one from subsequent disappointments from being "anna'ed" by the girl. It's called preemptive withdrawal!

I know!That was a different era..now it's the "F" word.."Friend..you are a good friend"..which is a preemptive strike for protection! Of course there is the friend with benefits ("Snegithaney, Ragasiya Snegithaney")..and other complex friendships:)
