26 including Ambanis, Tatas, Birlas, Videocons, etc... have applied.


Very bad...VERY VERY BAD idea to allow industrial houses to open banks. Gives these super rich families ready access to tons of cash to invest in their own companies. All other (smaller) companies will suffer.

Worse...in the next round rich politicians - who all own colleges and industries - will apply and may be given permission to open banks - Holy Allah.
