Good move by Kiran.
1.He won't go down history as the CM who overlooked the division of the state.
 2. He won't even get his deposit in his home district of Chittoor if he co-operated with the div of the state. That will be the end of his political career.
 3. Sooner or later he has to step down as CM anyway after the state is bifurcated. It doesn't make sense to hang on to it and orchestrate his own political suicide.
 4. He commands more respect now by resigning.

One cannot be sure of Congress internal affairs that easily. It is possible that sonia's handler's may have asked him to resign as he would not be able to sustain state govt after a t announcement.
assuming it is just a political decision, it is the right decision. For his career he needs to take a stand.
He and other Congress leaders failed to provide direction to andhra people. Intact they misdirected people into a state of inaction. Opposition did no better.
Rayala t will be a big disaster of the scale of north east States. They are creating a huge sentimental problem where none exists.
jagan who was pushed to a poor third in andhra region in panchayat elections will get a major boost and will sweep andhra elections.

I read somewhere that the cong high command DO want the non-telang cong politicians to protest to some extent in order to have the respect and support from their constituencies after the bifurcation. so yeah...

The worst thing that can happen to seemandhra is to make Jagan their CM. Puke! He's such a crook!

Diggy bhow bhow clearly has a hand in this. Apparently, the calculations are that with the inclusion of Kurnool and Anantapur, the Dalit and Muslim vote bank in T will increase, enhancing CONwallahs' chances of getting elected. The other agenda was to split Jagan's vote bank. Since CONmen gave up on winning in Andhra, MT has decided to just ignore the views of that region. It is amazing that a whole region is brushed aside in this decision making process and Seema is split in half without any consultations with them. Nothing can be more disgusting than this. I am, however, not surprised. AP CONwallahs are slavish and are capable of selling their mothers if that fetches them some power and money.

I doubt if people of kurnool and anantpur will take this change without a fight.
It is possible that a rayalaseema movement may kick up from non Congress sources. Such a movement will have two affects. One it will stall a rayala t if it were a real decision. Second it will require some consultations and throws the whole issue into another big problem pit.

Commands Respect! Did he just wake up or what! showing a bit of spine in the eleventh hour won't cut. His legacy (if any) will be another puppet CM.

I think percentage wise Kadapa has more muslims than Anantapur, but for now Jagan will sweep that district. I don't think Ananatapur Muslims will like this move.
